Tourist flock to South Korea surgeons seeking celebrity looks - Chua Wan Zhen (1st)

A Hallyu (Korean wave) of pop culture over the past decade has won a devoted fan base in China, Southeast Asia and Japan. Now skilled plastic surgeons are enjoying an unexpected boom in the cosmetic surgery industry.

This article appeals to me as plastic surgery has been widely used as a route to beautification. The influence of celebrities who have openly admitted to the public about their plastic surgery, enhancement etc. These public figures are seen as models or examples by ordinary people. The undeniably good result of plastic surgery is envied not only by the old but also by the young. Age is not an issue anymore for plastic surgery or beauty enhancement procedures. The costs seem to be a no issue for those who are obsessed with the idea of making their lives different through plastic surgery.

However, in my opinion, I feel that happiness can be achieved, but it does not have to be through surgery. People need to embrace their differences instead of trying to erase them. Only when we are at peace with ourselves will we be truly radiant.
